But Why an Online Coaching Business?

Start a Tutoring Buainess

Of course, you may want to ask, why an online coaching business. What are the prospects of an online coaching business?

You see, learning something new is fun but it can also be a challenge.

Many times we are required to learn something new with our job and in other times we may be interested in something and want to learn more about it. This is the situation around the world today. While many people are coming online to find new ways of either making an extra income or how to build their own businesses many others want help with their relationships or career. Unfortunately, many of these people are lost and confused in the midst of all of the information out there.

While one would expect that, with the volume of information on the net today, it would be easy for anyone to reach out and get what they needed but that’s really not the case. With so much information and options available the problem of information overload is getting worst by the day!

Apart from that, I’m sure you’d agree that it is not easy to simply learn some new thing and then apply your new found knowledge in a real-life situation. It isn’t that simple because learning something and doing something are two different things. Look back to when you got started online and you’d agree to this.

Learning something and putting it into practice takes time, patience, and a good coach. This is where you come in handy. And so, no matter what niche you are serving right now you have acquired some useful skills and expertise that is useful to someone else.

Remember what Zig Ziglar once said:

“You can get everything you want in life if you will just help enough other people get what they want!”

That is so, so right!

This is why a coaching business is a great way to earn some good income online. In fact, a coaching business is a perfect business model for any one who wants to make a living on the net.

Recent research stats already indicate that coaching is one of the fastest growing industry today. For example, IBISWorld (a market research firm) reported recently that in the U.S. alone, coaching is a $1 billion industry and that the industry has grown by around 10% in the last couple of years and is expected to grow by about the same amount over the next few years.

So, starting an online coaching business could just be that breakthrough you have been looking for!

Types of Coaching Businesses

How to start a successful business of your own

If you’ll take a look around you will discover that there are different types of coaching businesses you can start right now. Just think about the niche you’re currently serving. Can you think of anything people need or want help with? Do you think they would readily give their money to get it?

Even if you cannot think of something right away the fact still remains that there’s a whole lot of areas people want help in and you can start a coaching business in any of these. Below I share with you ten coaching business ideas and how you can creatively turn them into a thriving coaching practice.

The following examples have been carefully selected to give you some ideas within different niches. You can use these as idea generators. Read each one and think of ways you can apply that knowledge to your own business. They are selected from different areas, including computer/IT, finance, career, parenting, gardening, school (high school and college), cooking, instruments, home improvement, and sales.

Each one is a different type of business, and you may or may not need any special experience to start any of them. However, it’s important that you let your potential clients know you are simply coaching and not giving professional advice.

Of course, if you are a professional in your chosen field then that’s great. In that case you’d be a step ahead of others serving the same field. But that notwithstanding, people will seek a non-professional who charges less to give supplemental knowledge to what they already know.

Again, do not limit your thoughts to what I have included in this list. You are encouraged to take these coaching business ideas and come up with creative ways to start your own business with your skills and expertise.

With that said, here are…

10 Coaching Business Ideas for You

#1: Computer and IT

Computers are designed to help people to become more productive. But there are times when they can slow us down. If you are great with computers, you can start a coaching business to help with those pesky issues that get in the way of getting your daily tasks done.

Let me walk you through some ideas to get you started with this type of business.

If someone has a minor issue and he/she cannot afford to pay a professional, you can charge a lower rate and coach them through the issue(s) from home.

Beyond computer issues, there are also lots of computer programmers out there who may need a little coaching to help them apply what they learned in school to their career. Using your knowledge either in computers you can actually be the help they need.

#2: Financial

Money management can be very tough for many people. It is very important to have your finances in control if you are to be prepared for your today and your tomorrow. You know the saying “save your pennies for a rainy day.” You literally need to save your money so that it works for you and not against you. The unfortunate thing is that so many people borrow more than they make in one year.

The best way to help anyone is to help them before they get into a financial bind. As a financial coach you are there to help people make sound financial decisions. The fact is that coaching is a great way for motivating people to take action and be wise with their money.

It is heartbreaking to see people when they lose so many things they worked so hard to get. Financial coaching may be the most sought after and necessary business today.

As you may have noticed already when people get into desperate situations they look for someone to help them out. While many people may fall into this situation for different reasons the fact still remains that in this day and age, it is hard to survive on the little income most people make. There are however, ways to manage your money well and live off of the income you have and be in good financial standing.

So as a financial coach, you will be giving sound advice and helping people learn how money works.

#3: Career Coaching

Your career is the most important decision you will need to make in life. It will give you income and ultimately help you to decide your best path through life. It is hard for some people to decide which career path will ultimately allow them to live the life they choose.

You might believe your dream of becoming a doctor or nurse when you were five years old is the best career choice. When you reach adulthood however, your way of thinking may change significantly.

In reality, the best way to choose a career that is most fitting to you is one that reflects the lifestyle you want. There are tests you can take and studies performed that act as a guide and give you advice on a career but this may not give a definite answer.

So, if you have a lot of knowledge about careers and which ones are ideal for certain personalities, you can build a great business as a career coach. Sometimes it helps if you studied psychology because much of how you match someone up with an ideal career has a lot to do with his or her psyche.

Do remember this and all businesses in this article are ones you will not need previous experience to start, but it does require some ability to work well with others.

You need to be good with people, understand their concerns, and attract people who are willing to take advice. They should be informed that the final outcome of the coaching sessions is a reflection of their choices. You are only there to help them see things with a different perspective.

#4: Parenting

Having children is a blessing but knowing effective ways to parent your children can seem obscure or even a little difficult at times. You will also notice each child is different.

The best advice for someone to start a parenting coaching career is to have some background working with children. It is even a good idea to have a degree in child psychology, but this is not required.

It’s important to repeat that coaching is about giving people advice and supplemental knowledge. Therefore look for people who are willing to take advice as sometimes giving parenting advice can turn people off.

Nanny 911: Expert Advice for All Your Parenting EmergenciesOne resource that will help you in this area is a show called “Nanny 911.” You may want to check it out and learn from it. These professionals have helped many families get their children on the right track behaviorally. Better still you can get their Kindle book that detail their strategies and tips.

Check it out here.

A lot of the strategies you will learn from this show has to do with the parent changing the ways they believe they should discipline their children. Success only comes from taking the advice the nannies give and working with their children in a consistent manner.

So if you feel you have what it takes and love working with children and are good at helping others see things from a different view, then this can be a very rewarding business.

Again, remember the world needs people who are willing to help others in need.

#5: Gardening

No matter what season it is, people love to garden. Some have indoor plants while many others plant outside during the spring and summer months. Others have greenhouses where they can plant any time of the year.

No matter how you setup your garden, I always hear people say they do not have a green thumb and their plants will not last.
It is those people who many times want to learn to garden but feel they do not have what it takes. This is where a gardening coach comes in handy.

There are many facets and different crucial elements that go into gardening in order to have the most success with it. Each plant is not created equal and will require different types of attention and nutrition.

If you are great at gardening and have had much success with it, then you might consider coaching others through it. It is always best to have a coach of some sort help another person. Hearing the advice and seeing it put into action are very different.

There is also terminology that is easier to show than to just know the definition.

#6: School (High School and College)

Learning is very rewarding but can be challenging at times. It does not matter who you are, your upbringing, or how well you absorb information.

As a child, many times you can absorb information like a sponge. However, when you reach adulthood, learning is NOT the same. There are many resources out there to help you learn something, but there is no such thing as too much help.

With so many learning styles and information changing so rapidly, there is a NEED for people to coach others through their learning experience.

Now there will most likely be some subjects you excel at and others you are not so great at. So think about what you are good at and work with people with that subject.

#7: Cooking

When you open your Facebook or Twitter profile, you will notice there are a lot of recipes and videos of people making the recipe. They look so good and so you just want to try it. For some reason, you quickly think, “I won’t be able to make it as good as they did in the video.” But you know that simply is not true.

You probably will not be making a career out of a few people who just have an interest in making one simple recipe, but rather someone who has a deeper interest in it.

So how will you know if they do or not?

You can look at the comments on the videos to get an idea of how to market this type of coaching business. However, you may never know who is really interested until they respond to you ad.

To advertise your cook coaching business make your own video of a recipe and put a link in it or in the description letting people know you have coaching sessions for people who want to become chefs or improve their cooking skills.

#8: Instruments

Music is often considered a universal language. It reaches deep down in our souls and touches many generations. When you like something you are listening to, you will put your own meaning to it.

No matter what language you speak, music will be interpreted in your own language even when you do not understand the words and their meaning.

People want to carry on a legacy that has been passed down for generations, or they want to make a crowd of people have a great time. No matter what the reason, learning instruments is, and will be in high demand for a long time.

If you know an instrument and have a passion for helping others learn to play, you are on the fast track to growing a lucrative business and earning many clients.

What instruments are easy to learn without being face to face with an instructor?

Pretty much every instrument on the planet and that is due to video and web cameras.

#9: Home Improvement

Your house is your home. You want it to be more than just a building where you eat, relax, and sleep in. It is a part of your well-being. Keeping your home in working order and having it look presentable is something we all desire. Sometimes we do not know where to start and we begin to look for some good advice.

If you have the expertise in home improvement, then why not create a coaching program for it?

For example, say you want to lay new tile in your kitchen. It may seem like no brainer, but there are actually some important things to keep in mind so you can prepare yourself before you start. The measurements of course, along with how to prepare the sub-floor and so on are all things a good coach can help with.

#10: Sales

Selling is a part of life.

Whether you realize it or not, when you go to a job interview, you are “selling” your expertise and skills to the potential employer.

People think of sales in a negative connotation, but here is your chance to show people that it is not so bad. Besides, people who are already in the sales profession know that they always need to find ways to improve.

This is why sales coaching will be a great profit maker for you. More and more people are starting their own businesses, and guess what; sales are going to and always will be a big part of it.

So, if you have some experience and success as a sales person then starting a sales coaching business is not out of place for you!

Gathering Resources for Your Coaching Business

The building blocks of a successful business

To build a successful coaching business, you need the right resources. But apart for that, resources help with credibility.

For example, if you want to increase sales a good resource for you is someone such as Tony Robbins. Tony Robbins is a renowned leadership expert and helps people plan their businesses. As a life coach himself, Tony has helped tons of people achieve goals they can only dream of.

Part of your career as a coach is your ability to speak in front of people. Again, Tony Robbins is a great example to use. You can find out more about Tony Robbins on his website at: https://www.tonyrobbins.com/

Apart from people like Tony, what other resources can you trust?

Of course, for every one of the coaching business ideas discussed about there are a wealth of resources. For example, for the financial coaching type there are resources such as Warren Buffet, Napoleon Hill, and Dave Ramsey to name a few. These people are resources when it comes to helping people make their money work for them.

You can also do some further research for peer reviewed articles. If you are not familiar with what a peer reviewed article is, they are written by experts in a particular field and reviewed by other experts in that field. After it has been carefully reviewed then it is published.

You can find peer reviewed articles, journals, and other texts of the like at your library or through the library’s website.

Please be advised that you should get as many resources as possible and refer back to them as needed.

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that we’re now living in a digital age. Technology is dominating everything, including business! So, you have to make use of technology and get your business up to speed.

One thing you can do is build a website to help market your business online. Think of a website as a digital place for people to find your business. There are so many people using the internet, and if you have a website, they’re more likely to find you.

Once you’ve built a website, you have to know how to market it properly. This means making sure it appears high up in the search engine rankings. You can use things like SEO and PPC to get your website up those rankings. The higher up you are, the more likely it is people will find your website when they search for things related to your business.

Websites are such an important marketing tool and an important thing for businesses to have in general.

2. Attend A Convention

Business conventions are a great opportunity for you to market your business to people in the flesh. It’s a wonderful way for you to directly promote yourself to others. You can talk to people face-to-face and show what you’re about. At the convention, you’ll be given the chance to set up your own marquee.

The key to a successful business convention is making sure you get your marquee spot on. It needs to be eye-catching and lure people in. It’s a good idea to hire some people to stand around your marquee and grab people’s attention, luring them in. Marquee Image Staffing offers a range of people that can fill this position for you. Getting some extra staff in can seriously benefit you.

In general, attending conventions should be on everyone’s list of things to do if you want to market a business successfully.

3. Create A Billboard Campaign

Billboard campaigns are an old school marketing method that still holds a lot of power in today’s world. It’s a simple concept; you just have a large advert displayed on various billboards in an area of your choosing. If you’re a local business, it makes sense to have them on billboards in the surrounding area.

What’s great about billboard campaigns is that billboards are typically found in good places. They will be by traffic lights, or opposite a bus stop. Places where people are likely to be waiting around and stare at them.

If you want to create a successful billboard campaign, you have to get the actual advert right. Make sure the design is on point and that it’s an attention grabber. You want people to look at it and then keep looking at it. Rather than give it a glance, then look away. Also, make sure your advert clearly shows what your business does.

Take Away

The business arena is getting more competitive by the day. If you want to see success you need to market your business and do so not just by doing what others are doing. Try out the above business marketing methods and you’ll not set yourself apart but also see good returns.

But you first need to do extensive research on the market. This will let you know whether or not your idea is new and original, and whether there is any demand for it among the public. If your idea has already been done before, you’ll have to ask yourself whether it’s a good idea to go ahead with your plan.

2. Plan Your Costs & Income

If you’re not the kind of person who is very good with numbers, dealing with the company finances won’t be much fun. But it’s something you need to do before the business is even up and running. You will have to plan out your costs and then decide where you are going to get your funds from. You could get a business loan or find an investor to invest in your idea. You’ll also need to plan out where your streams of revenue will come from. For most businesses, this will be from sales. But you’ll still need to make income forecasts.

3. Put Together a Team

You need a solid team of dedicated and skilled employees if your business is going to become a success. Hiring staff can be difficult for new entrepreneurs who have never done it before. You have to strike the right balance between skills and low-waged employees. You do need people with skills, but when you don’t have much money to spend, hiring inexperienced people with potential is a good idea too. Outsourcing to an HR consultancy can help you find the right employees too.

4. Engage with Target Customers

Once you know exactly who your target customers are, you need to think about how you’re going to engage with them. You have to capture their attention and make them think about your business if you’re going to boost your sales. The internet offers loads of way in which you can interact with customers and build relationships nowadays. You can run a blog on your website to give people a reason to visit your website and find out more about your business and what you do.

5. Keep Striving to Improve

You should never stop striving to improve your business once you’ve started it up. The moment you start to stand still and move away from your founding ideas and principles will be the moment you fail. You don’t have to be doing badly to be striving to improve. Even if your business is doing well, you should start thinking about how you can do even better. This is what all the most successful businesses in the world manage to do. No success is ever enough for them; they keep pushing to improve. And that’s the attitude you should take.

Conclusion

I’m sure you can see that you don’t really have any reason why you should not start your own business right now, right? If you will put the above tips to use and work on improving as you go on you can be sure that your business dream will become a reality.

4 Must-Know Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Design Your Company’s Website

Web design is one of those things where many people assume they can do the work themselves. After all; there isn’t much to designing a website, right? Wrong!

The biggest mistake many folks make is thinking they have what it takes to craft a beautiful and functional site. People new to web design assume they can buy an off the shelf product where they just choose a theme, change some colors and type in some text.

However, there is more to web design than that. And there’s also the fact that you can’t get a professional look to your site if it looks like 500 other websites! It’s for those reasons that it makes sense to hire a web designer, especially if you want to build a site for your business.

Not convinced?

Then, let me give you some reasons why you should concentrate on what you’re good at, and leave the web design to a pro.

Build your own business website? Not advisable!

Why You Should Get An Expert To Design Your Websites

1. You Want a Solution That Meets Your Needs

The problem with a DIY website is that you won’t have knowledge of the best systems for the job. For example, you wouldn’t use an e-commerce platform like OpenCart if all you need is a content management system like Siteglide CMS! Web designers know which systems are a good base for their customers, as each client will have specific needs.

Doing the work yourself is a waste of your time and money. You are better off paying a pro to craft you a site using a system that offers what you need.

2. You Don’t Want To Annoy Your Visitors

Another issue with self-build websites is you might not have a clue about design and layout! All too often, people fall into the trap of designing sites that appeal to them, and not to their target audience.

So, if you like dark colored themes and fonts, don’t expect people with vision impairments to have an easy job of reading your content!

A web designer that knows what they’re doing will choose the best layouts, color schemes and typefaces for your site. They’ll also ensure it’s accessible to everyone, including those that use screen readers.

Why hire a web designer to build your sites

3. You Want Your Content to Make Sense

To make matters worse, DIYers sometimes have a poor grasp of their home language. And that shows when there are numerous spelling and grammar mistakes on each page! If you’re running a business, it’s crucial that you portray a professional image.

The content on your site needs to be easy to read, memorable and viewable on desktop and portable devices like smartphones. Web designers often work with other experts in their field to deliver you a stunning website:

  • Copywriters take care of the text content and make it pack a punch;
  • Graphic designers will craft beautiful images, illustrations, and graphics;
  • Web developers can handle the “back-end” code on sites that use PHP scripts.

4. You Don’t Want To Waste Your Time

Last, but not least, there is the time element involved with building a website. Running a business takes up a lot of time, so you’re better off delegating the design work to a pro while you handle the day to day management of your company.

Conclusion

As you can see, your business website is central to your online marketing machine. The success of your website will determine to a great extent the success of your business. Instead of trying to do it yourself, getting an expert to do it for you is definitely one investment you will be glad you undertook. So, get started today, get a professional website design agency to build that website.

Struggling to Get Your Startup Seen in a Crowded Marketplace? Try These Ideas

If you find yourself doing business in a crowded marketplace, what should you do to stay atop the crowd? How about if you are just a startup and your competitors have more resources and experience than you?

Overwhelming, right?

Frankly, it can be really challenging as you will definitely see yourself swimming against the tide!

But even in such daunting situations, there are things you can do as a startup to change the tide of things. In this article I want to share with you some great ideas that will help you turn things around for your good!

Try these tips today and you will see miraculous results:

1.    Personalize

Nowadays, consumers expect a little more from businesses. One of the big developments of the last few years is the move towards a more personalized service. It’s no coincidence that some of the most successful customer-facing businesses are those that offer a personalized services.

This change is partly down to the rise of the internet in the role of commerce. But the best businesses don’t confine their personalized services to the internet. It’s very easy to offer a personalized service online, but it takes a bit more effort to personalize your service in the real world. But it’s something people really appreciate.

2.    Give People a Reason to Switch

When you’re starting out in business, there are probably plenty of other businesses competing for the same customers that you are. And if these businesses are already more established and experienced than your own, you’re going to have to come up with a good reason why they should switch to yours.

This is key to success for a startup.

You can’t expect customers to simply switch to your business just because you exist. There has to be a reason for them to do so, otherwise what’s in it for them? It might be that you offer them something unique and different or give them a great introductory price.

3.    Focus on Customer Satisfaction

Keeping your customers happy is one of the hardest things about running a business, and that’s something that not enough young entrepreneurs realize. If your customers are happy, your business will be all the better for it. But if you don’t make sure they’re satisfied, you can start to see your profits fall.

To find out what your business is doing right and wrong in the eyes of your customers, you should ask your customers for feedback. You’ll be surprised at how many people are keen to give feedback after they’ve bought from your business. You should also make sure your customers services department is fit for purpose.

Top notch customer relations
4.    Find Your Niche

It’s much easier to operate a business if you have your own niche. It allows you the room to build up your own base of customers, meaning you don’t have to rely on persuading customers to switch from another business. It’s not easy to find a niche for your business, but it’s the easiest way to stand out from the crowd.

If you work hard and have a creative team of innovators behind you, it’s perfectly possible to carve out a niche for yourself. It could be a niche within an existing sector or it could be something entirely new. Just use your imagination and work hard at it.

5.    Make Media Contacts

Being in the good books of influential people in the media can only be a good thing. They could give your business a lift by mentioning you on social media or mentioning you in an article. Don’t just ask for a namecheck though. They won’t respond to a request for free advertising, but if you prove to them that your business is doing something worthwhile, they might take a liking to it!

The kind of media contacts you aim for will depend on the size of your business. If you operate in the local community, making a contact at the local newspaper can give your business a big lift. Talking to influential bloggers can be a big help too.

6.    Exhibit at Trade Shows

Getting involved with trade shows can be great for your business, but you need to make sure you get your approach right. They allow you to reach exactly the kind of people that you need to reach as they all work in or are interested in your industry. This can provide a massive boost to your sales figures.

It’s even more important for new and small businesses that are struggling to get their name out there in a busy marketplace filled with bigger names. To prepare for the trade show, you should visit www.finessegroup.com, they can help create a great looking exhibit for you. Then all you have to do is deliver on the day.

7.    Sponsor and Donate to Relevant Causes

Image is important for businesses. You need to manage your public profile and keep control of how your business appears to the outside world. One great way to do something good and improve your public image at the same time is to sponsor and donate to local charities and community causes.

You should look for charities that are relevant to what you do. So, if you work in sports equipment, for example, you could support charities that help people with disabilities to take part in sports. This creates a relevant link between your business and the charity, and will be sure to improve your business’s reputation.

8.    Create a Killer Logo

To get your business noticed, you need to be instantly recognizable to the kinds of people who are your target customers. The only way to do this is to create a great logo and use it whenever and wherever you can. It should be stylish and simple, yet it should also be relevant to your business and tell people a bit about what your business does.

Don’t be tempted to create a logo that’s too abstract. Otherwise, people will not get what your business does or has to offer them. This is not good for business. You should at least give people an idea of what you do via your logo. You should also be consistent with the colors and fonts that you use for your advertising and marketing materials.

Conclusion

There’s no doubt that for a startup, trying to etch out a name in a crowded marketplace, it’s going to be a big challenge. But if you will try out some of these ideas, your startup should start to get noticed a bit more easily and not very long from now, you will have your own place.

Simple ways to make money online

1. Become a Product Reviewer

When a company launches a new product, they need people to review it. That means that many businesses out there are willing to pay people to write reviews. There are loads of schemes that you can sign up to, which will suit your lifestyle. Commercial businesses will send items to your door. All you have to do is test out the products and see what you think. Next, you will need to write a range of reviews online for each product. The companies will send you money in compensation for your time and skills.

2. Blog, Blog, Blog

Blogging is one of the easiest ways that you can make money online. If you are a skilled writer, you will find it simple to make a second income from your passion. The first thing, you need to do, is choose a focus for your blog. You should choose a subject that you adore and know well. That way, you can write about it with expert knowledge. Try to offer your audience something when you write. Over time, you can start to gain a readership. Once you have an audience, you can start monetizing your blog.

3. Sell Products Online

The ecommerce industry is massive right now. If you want to make a great deal of money online, you ought to consider setting up an online store. Ensure that you understand the logistics of selling products. There is a lot to get your head around so it may take some time. You need to understand inventory management and stock taking. If you don’t take the time to learn these things, you will find it difficult to succeed. You should make sure that you take the time to learn these skills before you begin.

4. Publish an Ebook

If you love writing fiction, you could release a novel online. Many people think that they can’t publish a book by themselves, but it is possible. In fact, you can issue a book in an e-publish format online for next to nothing. If people happen to buy your book for their e-reader, you will get money from that. If you write fiction in your spare time, you should consider compiling some short stories and selling them as one e-book. You can then self-publish books online. There are many tools that you can use, which will help you to create and format your ebook.

5. Give Advice and Help People

If you are an expert in a particular field, you can make money from your knowledge. For example, if you know a great deal about exercising, you can start giving people advice about it in video blogs. You can also promote yourself as an expert and offer a consultation service. That means that people will pay you for your information and tips. You should make sure that you research your area of expertise before you promote yourself as an expert. If there are holes in your knowledge, people will not trust the information that you give them.

12 Days Of Christmas Inspiration – Day 2: Why Are You Here?

A few years ago, after a period of self assessment and much reflections,  I suddenly realized that for everything we do, there is always a “why.” As soon as I realized that I went on to set out a personal mission for my life!

However, when I started my online business instead of putting my life mission into consideration before starting, I was more concerned by the financial returns and the promised internet life style. Luckily I realized soon enough how futile this could be without really aligning my business with my personal mission and purpose.

That was when I had to take a step backward and review my business activities. Today everything I do, both on this blog and my other sites, is now driven by my personal mission and vision rather than monetary gains.

The Web Income Journal is actually an extension of my personal mission which is to: inspire and empower as many as come in contact with me helping them to be more successful both in their personal and professional lives. Over the years I’ve found my life to be more meaningful doing this. This series of 12 days of Christmas inspiration is simply a product of this “WHY.”

Day 2 of our 12 days of Christmas inspiration

Today, I want you to reflect on this and ask yourself, why are you truly here?

Why are you online?

Why do you blog?

Why are you in that business?

If your “WHY” is only to make the money, you will need to think again because money is transient.

You should pursue joy. You should pursue lasting peace. Unfortunately, from the record of men, money alone cannot provide any of these.

What will bring you peace and lasting joy is when you pursue that which is not contrary to the laws of God and man; for greatness can only thrive on the soil of peace and harmony!

Sow good seeds into people’s lives and you will reap a harvest of glory. Someone said it rightly this way: “If you can help as many people get what they want, you too can get whatever you want!

In this season of Christmas when we once again reflect on the birth of Jesus, the Christ of God, it is the right time to reflect also on why we are here. Jesus knew from the word go why he was here and throughout his earthly life he lived to fulfill that why. Everything he did was centered on that why.

Whether you have made your plans for year 2013 or you are still in the process of making that plan, I dare to say that this is the right time to once again reflect on WHY you are here and how you are fulfilling that WHY with your online business.

Note this: When You Get The Why Correct, The How To Make It Happen And The What For Making It Happen Will Come Easily To You!

Go and succeed. 2013 will yield to you your heart’s desires!

Setting Goals For 2012 – This Will Greatly Help, Seriously!

Wow, 2012 is here and all around us is hope and renewed zeal fueled by the new  resolutions for the year!

Let me formally say welcome and happy New Year, though it’s belated. But as it’s always said, it is better late than never! I do hope your holiday was great just as mine was 🙂

I also want to once again appreciate you for the support and camaraderie throughout year 2011. I truly look forward to us doing it again, and of course in a  better way, this 2012!

And talking about 2012 I know one of the questions many people are asking right now is, what does the year 2012 hold? With so much happening around the world both in the economic, political and social sphere, asking such a question is understandable.

However, instead of asking, what does the year hold it will be more proper to ask, what are you looking forward to in 2012? What do you see? Do you see more success this year? Do you see increased clientele or improved conversions?

The truth is, no matter what the year holds YOU are the determinant of what you will get out of it.  You must understand that.  No matter your hopes and high expectations, the year will only deliver to you what you put into it. And that means, you must be ready to do beyond and above what you did the previous year.

Remember the saying, doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome is another definition of insanity, right? The bottom-line is, you must decide to do some things differently this year!

As the year is still fresh it’s just the right time to determine the direction you want to follow. Of course, this is the time many make new year resolutions. Others are make plans and setting goals for themselves. However, no matter the route you decide to take, there are actually some elements that will guarantee your success.

To kick off the year therefore, I want to give some insight into some timeless ancient wisdom that will help you greatly if you will incorporate them into your plans or resolutions this year.  It doesn’t matter what niche you’re pursuing, if you will commit yourself to these things, the year 2012 will definitely yield to you your heart’s desire!

Timeless Wisdom That Will Increase Your Earnings in 2012!

1. Know Yourself:  This is a truth that has been passed on from generation to generation. As the author D. H. Lawrence once wrote, “It is our business to go as we are impelled.” This indeed is a universal truth because no matter the business you have chosen to achieve your dreams of financial independence; your greatest motivators are your passions. You are internally driven. Nothing happening outside of YOU will ever help you except you are motivated internally to take the action necessary.

It is important therefore that you study to better understand who YOU are in order to take advantage of the opportunities that will come your way this 2012. You should be able to know your areas of strength and your areas of weakness. This will help you better focus on your pursuits this year. If you will look within yourself real good you will definitely uncover something unique about you; something that you do so well which customers would be willing to pay for.  And if customers are willing to give their money for it, it could just be another vehicle for your financial independence!

2. Grow Yourself:  I believe this is an area you mustn’t toy with this year. It was Benjamin Franklin who said, “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” And I agree whole heartedly! It is a fact that the most successful people around us are those who make the best decisions because they are best informed. And what more? The good information they have is gotten from no other place but from their being avid learners.

This year 2012, if your desire is to achieve your dreams you must commit yourself to growing yourself. You must understand that today we live and work in a global, information-based economy where knowledge is king. If you will commit yourself to take what you learn and turn it into a marketable product or service then riches will follow as surely as the morning follows the dark night!

Note however, that simply becoming an avid learner will not automatically translate to more earnings this year. The key is to focus on learning the skills that have a practical application in your business. As a , home based online business entrepreneur  you must decide on the knowledge you require and then go for it. There are business magazines, entrepreneurial publications, books and periodicals abundantly available. You can download free industry whitepapers from places like the Trade Pub. Grow yourself by investing in any of these publications.

3. Flow Yourself:  The Holy Scripture puts it this way, “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” It cannot be clearer than that!

It is true that man by nature is selfish but if you desire to create the type of success that will make you set for life then you must be ready to freely give of yourself. It doesn’t matter the type of business you are running online, you must be prepared to give before you can expect to receive.

The good thing is that there are simple ways you can employ to allow yourself to flow out freely.  You can allow your expertise to flow freely simply by writing articles, creating videos, offering free seminars or webinars, creating free ebooks etc.  You can also look for other creative ways to give freely to your community. Whether you are giving away your knowledge, product or services the result is that more and more people will come to know of your expertise and of course more business will also flow your way for, givers truly never lack!

On the surface these truths look simple indeed but if you will find a way to implement them in your business dealings this year your heart’s desires will be delivered to you with ease! Over the years they have been tried and tested and have never been found to fail!

Go and may prosperity be your portion this year. Wishing you the very best of 2012!

Online Career Ideas: How to Capitalize On Your Popularity Online!

Truth is, you can capitalize on your online presence and benefit beyond your widest imagination. There are various online career ideas that will help you do this. But first, you need to know how to go about it.

Countless tips and ideas abound online on how you can develop your online presence and become the most visible thing on the internet — SEO tricks, neat designs, catchy taglines, subterfuge — but what they don’t tell you is what to do once you’ve established that presence.

Having the most-viewed website on the planet, or being the first result on a Google search page are definitely awesome achievements in their own right, but for those creative types who are not just out to make money from their websites, but actually want to help people or enrich people’s lives, what do you do once you have made it to the top?

There is no doubt about it, the best thing to do with an online presence is to sell something.  Once people recognize you as an authority, or just as a generally amazing internet personality, they will trust you and want to buy things from you. (That last part is scientifically unsubstantiated, but I generally find it to be true.  Take it or leave it.)

The question then becomes what should I sell?  People will buy almost anything, but you probably want to avoid capitalizing on that impulsive kind of attitude just for the sake of making a buck.  In other words, instead of selling something useless just because you can, really think about what you have to offer, and try to spin that into something unique, awesome, and helpful.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

• Niche it up!

Great, you’re thinking, but what in the name of Abraham Lincoln does that mean?  Well, basically it means: Think specifically, not generally, about the service you provide.  The smaller the market, the more success you’ll have.  If that seems counter-intuitive, think about it this way:  There are WAY too many people on the internet to cater to everyone; BUT, even if you are selling something like tagline consultation (check out beawesomeonline.com), which seems like an ultra-specific thing, there are still hundreds of thousands of people in that niche market.  Try to develop a service that will serve a very specific group of people.

• Sell Yourself!

Ok, not literally.  But there is an almost infinite market out there for creative goods, such as music, film, art, crafts, knick-knacks, brik-a-brak, tchotchkes—you get the picture.  People love creativity, and will more often than not pay boatloads for it.  The great thing is, once you have a following online, any time you release something, there will instantly be a buzz about it.  And what’s more, the platforms to publish and upload your art are almost entirely free!

• Be an Expert!

To make another unsubstantiated statistical claim: I’d estimate that 75% of people who go online do so for some kind of advice or information.  That’s what’s so great about the internet; all the answers are right there at your fingertips. Probably the best way to utilize your online fame is to offer expert advice (provided that you are an expert, which, of course, you are).  Again, the more specific the better.  You say you’re the preeminent authority on zoo trip scrapbooking?  Well, offer scrapbooking advice on how to scrapbook after zoo trips.  You won’t believe how many people don’t know how to do that, and will pay for an online course in zoo trip scrapbooking you design.

I hope these ideas make your stay at the top a little more comfortably.  The thing to remember, (warning: extremely nerdy reference alert) as Ben Parker would say, “With great power comes great responsibility.” Use that responsibility well and greater success will come your way.
